As discussed in the previous article, “Do Both, On-Page and Off-Page SEO“, on-page SEO is the optimization of content. On a website, relating to on-page SEO, there are two things that need to be distinguished, namely the main content of the website and supporting content that is on every other page (in addition to the main page). The main content of the website reflects the overall content of the website which usually exist on the Home page.
The main content is supported by other contents on the second page, third page, and so on, or supported by each article on blog in the website. Content on these pages or on each article must be related to the main content. Thus the website will be more focused and has sharper segmentation. Your audience will love the website content, as well as search engines.
When associated with keywords, then there will be the main keywords related to the main content and secondary keywords in each page or article. In WordPress, these two types of keywords are very important especially when using SEO plugin like All in One SEO Pack. In such a plugin, you must fill in all the main keywords at the time of completion of installation, and secondary keywords on each finished writing an article.

Two Things of SEO Techniques
Determining keywords is the first step of implementing SEO techniques. Keyword should be determined before creating contents of a website. As you might guess, keywords related to the content and purpose of your website . For example, your website content is about “how to take photos with a digital camera“, then your keywords could be "taking photos" or it could be "taking photos with a digital camera“.
After determining the keywords, the next step is to create websites content that contain those keywords. There are many ways to place keywords within your website or your article - which will be discussed in upcoming article.
After the content optimization, a robot of search engines will index the content. By applying the keywords in the content, search engines will have a conclusion about your contents. If anyone is searching for information containing the keywords, search engines will display links to your website.
But there will be many links on the search engine result. Your link will be competed with others. Your position on the search engine result will depend on your rank. The most relevant content or website - that have many backlinks (referenced by other websites) will be ranked higher. Therefore we need to get backlinks as many as possible.
Getting backlinks is not so easy. But there are some methods to have them. One of the methods is to actively provide feedback on forum sites on the same topic to your content. There we can provide some solutions to other forum members, and you can put a link to your website in the forum.
You can also have some backlinks by submitting some articles to some article directory sites. You can add a link in each of the article. And there are many other ways to get backlinks, such as link exchange with other websites, buying links, etc.
After you do these two things (optimizing content and getting backlinks), your website may not be displayed in the top 10 of search engine results. It depends on the level of competition. If there are many websites that have the same content as ours, it will be difficult to occupy high ranking or in the top ten of the search engine results. But you have to be optimistic for having high ranking. Keep optimizing your content and getting as many backlinks as you can. And the most importantly, continue to develop your website content that is useful to your visitors.
